While Creative Facilitation 1 introduces models and techniques for bringing the arts into your work, Creative Facilitation 2 is all about you as a facilitator.

In this 2-day experiential professional development workshop you will increase your skill as a facilitator using arts-based methods to develop high performance learning communities that support creativity and social and emotional learning. You will gain tools that will strengthen your presentation and facilitation skills. You will learn how to guide groups effectively and with confidence. You will discover how help a group come alive, develop a high level of participation, and how to create an atmosphere where participants take creative risks and speak from the heart. This workshop offers best practices based on years of experience developing and leading highly successful creative programs for multicultural groups of youth and adults.

This workshop is for anyone who works with groups of youth or adults as well as for people who simply want to enhance their own creativity: youth workers, educators, artists, trainers, facilitators, business leaders, and the general public.

Participants learn:

– How to relate and respond to challenging participants

– Effective communication techniques

– How to create a safe space for honest and creative expression

– How to present yourself comfortably, clearly and confidently to a group

– How to design and deliver effective lessons, workshops and meetings

What is the difference between CF1 & CF2?

The first level Creative Facilitation workshop provides a framework and practical tools for expanding creativity. This training gives a solid foundation in the Creative Community Model approach.

Creative Facilitation 2 is designed to follow level 1 with a focus on the role of the facilitator, developing key competencies and communication skills required to lead powerful learning programs.

Both trainings are highly experiential and provide a practical tool kit of activities that can be applied to working with youth and groups of all ages straight away and are ideal for program leaders and trainers.

We recommend level 1 as a pre-requisite for level 2.

  • Hi,

I’ve just done Creative Facilitation 1 this weekend, with your partner organisation Life Beat here in London, and I would like to know when are you going to run the Level 2 training in London.
    Thanks

  • Hi Alejandra, it’s great to hear that you enjoyed CF1 with LIFEbeat. We will be running a CF2 in London early next year but we do not have the dates set yet. Subscribe to our newsletter mailing list to be kept informed.

  • thank you, PYE I have applied most of the activities and strategies I received from your training and the kids are having fun.

  • There are some of our staff that want to attend the Creative Facilitation 1, and 2. We also would like to get the advanced training. We have went to 2 of the youth gatherings, that your facilitators did, one was in Canada, B.C., and the other one was in Omak, Washington. We do a lot of presentations to community, and youth, in schools, and community centers. Our presentations are on Suicide Prevention. The reason we want to attend, and get trained in this exceptional training, is due to the fact, I have never seen better facilitators, and want to be like them. Please let me know if there are any trainings coming up close to us. We are close to Spokane, Washington. Thank you, Deby Stanger.

  • Hi Deby, we are about to announce trainings in Seattle, Washington. They will be open for registration on our upcoming trainings page next week.

  • Hi! I took Creative Facilitation 1 back in 2004 and I’d like to take Creative Facilitation 2 in November. Is that possible?

  • Hi Layla, yes, you can absolutely take CF2 in November. Hope you’ll join us! Thanks for your comment/question!

  • Hi Deby, we have levels one and two coming up this fall. Hope you and your team can join us in Seattle!
