Do You Allow Yourself to be Vulnerable?

At PYE a central part of our model for working with youth is allowing yourself as an adult mentor and the young people you work with to be truly themselves, to be truly vulnerable in front of their peers. We’ve seen the incredible and powerful affects this can have, from bringing very withdrawn young people out of their shell to finally allowing youth affected by HIV/AIDS to accept themselves and feel accepted by others.

That’s why, when we found this TED talk, we got it.

What do you think? Do you allow yourself to be vulnerable?
