What is your wish for young people around the world? #PYEOneWish

As we blow out the candles on our 5th Birthday cake, we’ve been busy asking members of our network and online community one simple questions:

What is your one wish for young people around the world?

Gwyn Wansbrough (Managing Director of PYE): My wish is that is that all young people have the opportunity to live their lives fuelled by their greater purpose.

Johnmary Mukiza, Uganda Country Director for our partner organization In Movement: Art for Social Change: A socially and environmentally conscious, truly global community.

Suchetha Bhat (COO of our India partner organization Dream a Dream): If I had one wish for young people around the world it would be for young people around the world to have built the resources within themselves to be able to make the choices that make them truly happy.

Dante Garcia (camp graduate and now Power of Hope facilitator): I wish that all young people could have the opportunity to self reflect in the model that Power of Hope provides. To be able to breathe, set down the social armor, and play! To be able to live in a community that is accepting, creative and supportive.

Claire Mortifee (Power of Hope camp graduate): My one wish for young people around the world is that they love, respect and honor themselves that they understand they are enough exactly the way they are.

Devon Mortifee (Power of Hope camp graduate): If I had one wish for the youth of the world, it would be that no young person would ever not have someone to talk too.”

Mark Cheng (Director of Ashoka UK): That everyone has the opportunity to realize their full creative and human potential, and find meaning and purpose in their lives.
